[JP] Atalante is mainly a support buffer for Quick teams. Amongst all the possible choices of supports she boasts the strongest AoE Quick up for her allies, and amongst everyone else she also provides the most stars in one burst. Sadly she isn’t exactly amazing--- being an Archer she doesn’t really share stars well with allies, and as a damager she doesn’t do that much outside of her NP either. And as a support, outside of her buff and occasional NP she also is rather limited.
[NA] As of now there are no Quick buffers in NA, which makes her rather useful as the sole Quick support in the pool. Her stargen and NP are also more appreciated in NA’s current pool of Servants and the difficulty of their quests, which gives her more value than in JP, where she’s outshined by others.
Pros
High-scaling AoE Quick up for 1 turn
Gives an amazing amount of stars on NP
Decent NP damage with her own buff
Cons
Has low base gain
Her star absorption as an Archer can get in the way of supporting
Is limited in what she offers as a support
Strategies & Tips
Atalante doesn’t really do much, to be completely honest. She can clear waves with her own buff, or use it to support her allies damage instead. Her hitcounts are also decent enough to create stars when doing Quick chains with her allies, but overall she often ends up standing still in fights. There are a few reasons as to why Atalante can be rather unsatisfactory when used---
She has only one buff, and one often has to choose over using her buff for herself or teammates
Her stargen and buffing are often for one burst, leaving her with little to do in her downtime. For comparison, one can use Mozart--- he acts very similarly to her for Arts teams (Arts up + instant stars burst), but still he costs for far less and still has his NP to aid the team in his downtime.
Her NP gain is bad, and while her 3rd skill fixes this somewhat, it comes with a dodge built-in, which means one would usually have to sacrifice one effect for the other.
In JP, other Quick buffers who offer more to the team exist now, like Wu Zetian, Alexander, and Osakabehime.
That said, Atalante still is pretty useful, she scales very well with other buffs, and she can provide a large amount of stars with her NP and a decent amount with her normal hits. Even with her low base gain she can still crit-charge her NP gauge with her 2nd and 3rd skills, which allow her to access it unhindered well enough. Her Quick up is still not to be underestimated, and even with her flaws she’s a decent unit overall.
Atalanta is pretty useful as a Quick support, but her support capability can be sometimes hindered by her high starweight. Still, she possesses the strongest AoE Quick buff ingame, which makes her worth using. Just keep in mind that she absorbs a lot of stars in the process as well.
Hans’ offensive buffs can multiply well with Atalante’s own buffs, making her a better damager than usual. He can also provide stars passively and sustain her with DEF ups and healing, aiding her overall performance and survival. His Crit buffs can also be of good use with her high absorb rate.
Waver can instantly charge Atalante’s gauge, allowing better access to her useful NP. He can also buff her ATK very well with his skills and NP, allowing her to hit hard. His Crit buffs can also be of good use with her high absorb rate.
[JP] Osakabehime can act as a secondary support, providing some form of sustain through her NP’s buffs. They can also create Quick chains and buff each other’s Quicks, providing some form of stability for a Quick team.
[JP] Anne and Mary lack any buffs for their damage, but their NP still hits fairly hard. Atalante would be able to provide them a buff that they can use to hit hard and refill their NP well.
Atalante’s bond CE at least allows her to do something worthwhile outside of her bursts. With the 15% Quick up it provides to her party, she is able to at least buff her team outside of her 1st skill.
Another good option to allow Atalante to do something within her downtime. Even in her natural team niche, Quick teams, one would sometimes encounter problems with star generation. As such, such CEs would aid the entire team’s overall stability.
Phoebus Catastrophe hits for a decent amount of damage at 20k, with Atalante’s 1st skill included. It’s somewhat on the lower side, but to be fair it’s main purpose is to produce stars. Because of her NP’s Quick nature and its amount of hits, it produces a ton of stars for the party to use the next turn. It also somewhat refills her NP for a decent amount, especially if buffed by her 3rd and 1st skills.

Beyond Arcadia B/ Cooldown: 7-5 The largest AoE Quick up ingame, going for a maximum of 50%. This can be very beneficial for allies, allowing Quick Servants to hit harder or refill their gauge. One can also use this for Atalante, for her own NP or cards.
Hunter’s Aesthetic C / Cooldown: 6-4 A very good skill to allow Atalante to crit-charge her NP gauge, helping her overcome her low base gain. Still, it can be somewhat of a bother for her as a support, but it’s 1 turn duration and it’s 4 turn CD lets it be easier and more flexible to control.
Calydon Hunt A / Cooldown: 8-6 [Strengthening Upgrade] An evade is a good skill to have as a hard survival function. It’s pretty nice and all, but honestly the best part out of it is the increase in NP gain, which allows Atalante to reach average-levels of NP gain. Paired with her 1st and 2nd skills, it can be very useful in allowing her to use her NP more frequently for a burst in stars.

With a QQAAB deck, Atalante is able to both charge her NP and generate a decent amount of stars. It’s nothing amazing, but her hitcount is enough to give a nice amount when performing Quick chains with others, and having 2 Arts allows her to overcome her base gain better.
