Not a bad choice when considering that he is a 3★ servant as his stats are even comparable to some of the 4* Saber like Saber Lily at similar level. Divinity D also increases his attack by a small amount, not much but still something to boost his damage output.
Pros
One of the better critical focused Saber class servant With a set of QQABB command cards along with a Quick NP (that also generate critical stars when overcharged), you can expect Gauis to crit more often than you expected. Not to mention that his Riding B passive skill that increases Quick cards’ performance by 8% and the Incitement ‘EX’ skill that provides an additional star generation rate for three turns after completing the Strengthening Quest.
Can be a semi-support Gauis can be considered as a semi-support as all his skills provide buff to the party.
Cons
Weak defenses Gauis does not have any defensive skillset except for a mere Magic Resistance C, making him had to depend on other party members to survive or play the “kill them before they kill me” game. Incitement ‘EX’ also decreases the target’s defense by 20%, causing him to be much more vulnerable to damage if not protected.
Strategies & Tips
Gauis works best in a party that focused on star generation with a support that helps to back him up to survive the fight much longer.
Even though Andersen does not have any recovery or defensive buff except for his NP, he can help increase the critical damage of the party and also provides additional star gain.
One of the easily obtained CE through Friend Points Draw. By starting the battle with 30% NP charged or 50% with limit break, Gauis can unleash his high damage single target NP much faster.
Deals damage to one enemy. [Overcharge]Gain critical stars.
