Lancelot Saber is perhaps one of the best offensive Sabers around among the SRs, as he boasts both strong crit damage and consistency. However he’s not perfect, and he’s often misconceived as being the most powerful Single Target Saber around the block.
Pros
Decently strong crit damage
Is fairly independent in regards to stargen and absorbing stars
Can charge and use his NP rather frequently
Good NP gain
Cons
Lacks any survival skill
NP damage is low
Strategies & Tips
Lancelot is arguably one of the best offensive Sabers among the SRs, due to the amount of damage he can churn out with relative ease. His crit damage does good damage and he can generate and absorb stars well enough for himself. While his overall damage is surpassable by SSRs, his consistency is great enough to make him stand out on his own among the numerous offensive Sabers ingame.
Noble Phantasm
Lancelot’s NP damage is perhaps his biggest weakness, hitting at 29k, the 2nd lowest among all ST Sabers. It hits pretty disappointingly, and his crit damage would often outdamage his NP upon use. Although, it’s good to note that his NP also grants him an Arts up for a turn, which lets him at least use it frequently enough when used with his Arts cards. This lets him somewhat back up his overall damage, especially when he does same color chains.
Hans is able to buff Lancelot’s offense further by providing him crit buffs and ATK buffs, on top of being able to provide him stars per turn. He’s also able to improve his survivability through DEF ups and healing.
Waver is able to provide Lancelot with ATK buffs and Critical damage buffs that scale up very, very well. He’s also able to provide Lancelot some form of survival through his stalling and with his DEF ups.
Tamamo is able to buff Lancelot’s Arts cards very well, and she’s also able to allow him more chances to use his NP more frequently by charging his NP gauge. Her ability to reduce skill cooldowns would also improve his consistency further, and allow him to access his burst phases earlier.
[JP] Gilgamesh is able to provide Lancelot with more offensive buffs that would stack with his own. He’s also able to buff his defense to an extent. The real kicker though, is that Gilgamesh’s stargen buff would allow Lancelot to generate even more stars with his cards due to his great hitcount.
[JP] Merlin is able to provide Lancelot with healing and stars per turn. He’s also able to buff his crit damage and Buster cards very well, allowing Lancelot to hit very good numbers with his crits.
As NP damage is one of Lancelot’s weakest fronts, such a CE would allow him to deal more damage overall, especially as he has the tendency to use his NP often anyway.
If you want to increase his critical stars generation then this CE is a good choice as the passively generated critical stars can be of some use even if your skills are on cooldown.
When equipped to Lancelot (Saber) only, increase NP Gain and Critical Hit damage of all allies by 10% while on the field

Knight of the Lake A / Cooldown: 8-6 Increase NP Gauge Gain critical stars
An NP charge skill isn’t really anything special per se, but it does aid Lancelot in using his NP more often. Still, the real value of this skill is in the amount of stars he gains from it, as it allows him to summon stars instantly for himself.
A 3 turn absorb of this level allows Lancelot to absorb stars reliably. At the amount that the skill scales, Lancelot would take in all the stars for himself even without it being at max level. This allows Lancelot to hit his crits with high guarantees, minimizing the danger of missing a crit due to teammates stealing stars.
Knight of Owner A / Cooldown: 8-6 Gain critical stars per turn (3 turns) Increase critical strength (3 turns)
To pile on top of Lancelot’s 1st skill, this allows Lancelot to improve his consistency by being able to provide himself stars for 3 turns. It lasts the same amount of time as his star absorption, so this at least gives him the chance to dish out damage for 3 continuous turns. The critical buff also scales to a good 50% at max level, which lets him hit pretty well with his own cards.

With a QAABB deck, Lancelot is able to deal good crit damage through spamming his NP and by giving himself the opportunity to do same-color chains with his NP at a decently frequent pace. The Buster cards on his deck also allows him to deal even more strong crits. His Quick and Buster cards also allow him to generate stars and NP well enough due to their hitcount ratio to his Arts cards.
