[JP] Mephistopheles as a Caster Servant is a support that focuses in disabling and delaying enemies. He has an NP gauge drain skill and a buff block, and is able to stack curse debuffs to some reasonable extent. This lets him cover a niche as a budget debilitator among the low rarity Servants.
[NA] Mephistopheles’ performance is severely lacking with his 3rd skill unavailable, so his performance ingame is severely unappealing at this stage.

Strategies & Tips
Mephistopheles is a support that is made for delaying enemies and disabling enemies. One would usually put him in a party with another sustain/healer support, so as to be able to keep him in the field for multiple uses of his skills. Arts teams in general do well with him, as it enables him to spam his NP and stack curse debuffs.
Hans provides Arts cards to increase chances for Arts chains, aiding Mephisto’s NP gain. Hans also possesses an Innocent Monster skill, letting them stack star-per-turn buffs.
Provides offensive and defensive buffs through his skills and NP, as well as charging the party’s NP gauge. He is also able to delay enemies, and stack curse debuffs with Mephisto.
Tamamo is able to increase Arts chain chances with Mephisto, and also delay enemies. She is also able to heal and decrease his skill CDs by 1, therefore decreasing his downtime and sustaining him.
As a support, Mephisto doesn’t benefit too well from increasing his damage. Star-per-turn CEs would let him stack with his 2nd skill, and increase his overall usefulness.
Since Mephisto has some potential in stacking his curse debuffs, increasing his NP gain would increase the frequency of his NP usage, which lets him stack more.
Mephisto’s NP is weak due to his class’s innate multiplier. Despite having an interlude, it only deals 14k at NP5 on neutral enemies. Its secondary effect is casting Curse on an enemy, dealing 500-2500 damage for each turn over 3 turns. While the effect is decent at best, Mephisto deck does allow some decent spammability, which can opens potential in stacking it, along with his 3rd skill.

A good skill in delaying enemy NPs. It maxes out at 80% chance, but the actual chance for it to hit is 88%, due to Mephisto having an additional 8% increase in debuff rate from his Territory Creation passive.

This skill doesn’t really help Mephisto’s role, but it’s a decent utility skill to aid your parties. It gives 9 stars per turn at max, which is rather handy. However, it also comes with an 18% reduction in def, so it’s not the most ideal skill as well.
A great skill that disables enemies’ buffs for 3 times. It also inflicts curse for 5 turns, which totals to 5000HP damage. It may not be much, but considering how it has only a 1 turn downtime, the enemy would virtually be cursed, which is useful in increasing DPT, as one can also stack it with Mephisto’s NP.
