[JP] Despite his poor 1* stats, Kojirou is a bona-fide damage dealer. Kojirou’s style in dealing damage isn’t in unloading heaping amounts of it, but rather by reliably hitting decently as he goes. He ranks low on damage but in exchange for it he’s extremely consistent in dealing crits. He can generate for himself with his attacks, skills, and NP, making him one of the few critstrikers who don’t need to rely on others for stars.
[NA] Kojirou is rather useful early-game due to his accessibility, but he falls off in value later on until he gets his upgrade. With his upgrade his strength gets a bit more defined, but without it he’s not the best choice to use for an Assassin.
Pros
Extremely easy investment due to cheap 1* skill costs.
Has one of the highest crit consistency ingame.
Independence on stargen.
Cons
Needs his upgrade for full performance.
Horrendous 1* stats, Assassin multiplier, and Quick multiplier with triple Quick deck severely limits damage.
Strategies & Tips
Kojirou is a critstriker. In general, one would build parties around damage dealers, and for Kojirou one would focus on a party that buffs his damage and aids his survival. His forte is being independent of stargen supports, as one can use his NP to generate stars, use his skill to instantly gain stars, or just attack to generate them. At the very least, Kojirou can be fitted well with supports made to buff his stats to the max without worrying much about if he can crit or not.
Hans can easily buff both Kojirou’s offense and survival, and he also is able to passively generate stars with his 3rd skill, and buff crit damage with his 1st.
Provides offensive and defensive buffs through his skills and NP, as well as charging the party’s NP gauge, which aids Kojirou’s consistency. He is also able to buff an ally’s crit damage.
Provides a large Quick buff, which can deal a lot of damage if used well with Kojirou. She is also able to provide stars on her NP and with Quick chains.
Alexander after his upgrade becomes a good support for Kojirou, and is able to provide stars for him as well with his NP and Quick chains. And with Kojirou having a star absorb skill, he can get the stars reliably even if Alex is a Rider. Alex’s buffs also last for 3 turns, which mixes well with Kojirou’s consistent crit usage, as it gives him a powerup for the entire duration of his burst phase.
A Quick up benefits Kojirou’s kit very well, as it increases his damage, stargen, and NP gain. The increase in NP gain would give him access to his NP more often, giving more consistency to his crit generation, along with the increase in damage.
Tsubame Gaeshi hits rather weakly due to the lack of a buff and his weak stats. Its good point is that it generates 15-30 stars, which improves Kojirou’s consistency. One would usually use this to generate stars for the next turn, then activate his star absorb if he gets any cards then. While it hits weakly, it’s still a decent boost in overall damage for Sasaki, so it’s not without its value.
Hidden Blade : Swallow Reversal (NP)
Deals damage to one enemy. [Overcharge]Gains critical stars.
A dodge that comes with crit up, it is Kojirou’s main core skill for survival and offense. It also scales rather well at A rank, and maxes out at 40% crit damage up.
Kojirou’s main way to instantly gain stars, it is one of the things that improves his consistency. At max it gives 15 stars, which is extremely useful for Kojirou to crit with, paired with the fact that it comes at whatever timing you choose.
This skill is probably Kojirou’s most important skill, as it lets him absorb the stars he generates to crit with. His consistency also improves with this skill, as it gives him an effective 100% boost in stargen, letting him generate as much as his hitcount allows him to.

With a QQQAB deck, Kojirou’s damage suffers due to the combined weak multipliers of Quick and the Assassin class. It does however, aid in his consistency in generating stars, so it’s a double-edged sword with both benefits and demerits.
