Introducing Sherlock, the Servant that many have been eagerly expecting. Brought into the fitting Ruler class, Sherlock demands the respect and power that is deserved by a character as popular and powerful as him. Sherlock’s attack stats are extremely good for his class, rivalling even other sabers. His HP stat isn’t as powerful in contrast, but this is made up for in his ruler class, effectively allowing him to soak hits from a large majority of enemies. Moving on to generation stats, Holmes has a pretty nice NP generation, boosted by his passive skill, territory creation. His quick gen stats as well is decent performing, reaching an average around 20 stars. His Quick card also has a decent amount of hits, followed by his extra card. This allows him to get a nice amount of NP generation even on Quick cards.
Sherlock’s skills circle around a semi offensive kit with some support elements. He has a kit that revolves around him critting against enemies with his arts cards, getting his NP back up and ready to support his team once more. The rest of his skills keeps him alive even longer as well as stalling for the team, making him an extremely potent servant among his fellow Arts servants.
Sherlock has great potential as a support servant, being able to push out decent damage as compared to casters while also offering a wide variety of buffs and debuffs to enemies that helps increase the entire team’s damage output.
Pros
Easily readies up his NP to offensively support his entire team.
Good base stats and gen stats work together
Cons
Ruler class means his damage output from crits is reduced
A support with no sustainability or reliable defense
His skillset may be confusing to work with
Strategies & Tips
Sherlock would like to be paired with servants who can deal a large amount of damage while also being able to provide a large amount of crit stars for him to utilize his offensive side. His first skill should be used to stall for time against an enemy who wishes to NP, or when you wish to ready up a large amount of stars before a damage chain. His second skill is utilized when he wishes to attract the stars to himself, allowing him to crit more consistently. The debuff immunity is just there as a safety precaution most of the time. His last skill is to either provide safety to himself in a tight spot while his arts buff is used right before he is ready to push out damage against enemies.
Noble Phantasm
Elementary, my dear is an AOE arts support NP that affects both the enemy team and ally team. It applies a guaranteed defense drop to the enemy team, applies invulnerability pierce to all allies, defence pierce and critical damage up on overcharge. This is an important aspect of his kit, allowing him to crit much higher numbers while also whaling on the opponent’s defence, increasing damage output even further.
Lancelot is a brilliant servant to pair with Sherlock, being able to generate crit stars easily, being able to Arts chain with not much problem, being a crit servant himself. All these complement Sherlock extremely well, making their skill mesh together better. Lancelot also benefits greatly from Sherlock’s NP, making it a strong pairing.
Tamamo is the premier Arts buffer who provides a strong heal, more stall potential, cooldown reduction and NP regen. This covers Sherlock’s main strong points, making him stay alive longer, deal more damage with his Arts cards, having a lower cooldown to have his skills up longer and getting his NP up more often.
Jeanne is a good servant to pair with Sherlock, being able to provide the survival buffs that Sherlock lacks within his kit. Her kit is nowhere near as offensive as him, thus the two of them covers each other’s weaknesses. She can provide Sherlock with stars on her first skill as well, allowing him to crit whenever he needs to.
Another ending compliments Sherlock well, boosting both his Arts performance and his crit damage, allowing him to make the most use of his critical buff set. The arts boost helps him fill his NP gauge even faster, allowing him to stack his NP even faster while also allowing him to deal more damage on those cards.
2030 is a great CE to pair with sherlock, providing him with the crit stars that he requires, allowing him to hit his crits much more often. This also provides crit support to the rest of his team, allowing them to leverage the crit buff on his overcharge.
Formalcraft is the standard Arts buffing card for all Arts servants, allowing them a higher NPgen on top of increasing their main damage output. This helps Sherlock NP more consistently while also making him hit higher numbers despite having no class advantage.
When equipped to Sherlock Holmes, Increase Party's Quick Card performance by 10% and Increase Critical Damage by 15% while on the field.

Baritsu B++ Baritsu gives Sherlock a buff to his Arts card performance while also giving him an evade for 1 turn. This allows him to stay alive in a bad situation while also giving him the potential to push out higher damage numbers. This skill should be leveled first.
Natural insight A++ This skill gives Sherlock a large influx of stars while also giving him the ability to seal an opponent’s NP or just help stall their NP generation for one turn. This is helpful in situations where enemies boost their NP gauge. This skill should be leveled second.
Hypothetical reasoning A+ This skill is not as important as the other two, providing an adequate amount of star weight at the first level. The debuff immunity is not the main feature of the skill as well, being an added bonus to his skill. This skill should be leveled last.

Sherlock has a strong deck, having a total of 3 Arts cards, allowing him to Arts chain with his NP. His arts cards have an extremely good NPgen while his quick cards have a good NPgen and stargen stat. This is a well rounded build in all, allowing him to get full potential out of his kit.
