Oda Nobunaga (Berserker, Summer 2017)

Nobunaga’s skillset is rather unique for a Berserker, with her second skill greatly resembling Merlin’s Garden of Avalon. This makes her unique in that she is able to support her allies as well, and perform criticals more reliably . Additionally, she has a critical absorb built-in to her third skill and a Buster buff in her first skill. All this makes her go well with the popular Buster critical set ups.

Unfortunately, however, her skills’ percentages are notably low, especially that of her Buster skill. Her attack up also needs a burning map to proc, which makes it highly unreliable. These factors ultimately result in Nobunaga’s damage being highly dissatisfactory. Her second skill is also rather indecisive when not paired with other supporting effects.

• Fairly survivable.
• High hitcount Buster cards allow her to generate a decent amount of stars and NP from them.

• Somewhat lower damage when not critting compared to other Berserkers.
• Needs additional support to be effective.
• Her third skill’s attack buff is highly situational.

Nobunaga should be used alongside a dedicated supporting Servant, in order to make the most of her kit. She aims to perform high damaging critical brave chains, using her third skill to gather stars. Her second skill should be used as often as possible, as its benefits (in particular the NP gain) are not felt immediately.

Nobunaga The Rock n’ Roll is a single target Buster-type damaging Noble Phantasm which deals increased damage against Divine enemies. Due to Nobunaga’s lower buff percentages, this NP usually deals unimpressive damage for a Berserker’s; against Divine enemies, the damage becomes considerable.

• Fool’s Killing Method A

  Despite having an Evasion, this skill also functions as Nobunaga’s primary buffing skill due to the built-in Buster buff. Unfortunately, while the buff lasts for three turns, its percentage at 20% maximum is rather low. Still, being her most reliable buff and her Evasion skill, this skill should be leveled second, though Atsumori Beat may have higher precedence if Nobu is to be used in more specialized teams.

• Atsumori Beat B

  This skill provides slight NP gauge and HP increase, as well as a good amount of critical stars every turn for five turns. Notable for being highly similar to Merlin’s Garden of Avalon; this skill’s numbers (except for the critical star generation) are rather low, meaning it won’t really be effective on its own without the help of other supporting abilities. It also has a notably long cooldown. This skill should normally be leveled last among her skills.

• Beach Demon King of the Sixth Heaven A-

  Grants a critical absorption skill for one turn, and an attack up if the current map contains fire. Due to Berserkers’ low base critical weight, it is practically impossible for Nobunaga to perform criticals without the aid of this skill. As such, this skill should be leveled first of all if she is to be used in critical-focused teams.

Nobu’s Buster cards possess 6 hits - easily among the highest seen so far - allowing her to produce a decent amount of critical stars and even gain NP (provided she got an Arts first card bonus). As with most other Berserkers, her Quick and Arts cards gain a good amount of NP to compensate for the three Buster cards.
