The first F/GO event with a dedicated event map, this event is more or less a normal farming event - with a twist. That is, there are two additional quest types - Party Time and Guerrilla quests, both of which will be detailed further below.
There are four types of materials in this event - Cupcakes, Sweet Candles, Trick Bats, and Pumpkin Lanterns. There are event CEs allowing additional drops for the first three, which should be obtained as soon as possible.
While only the *5 gacha CE (Halloween Petit Devil) grants bonus drops for Pumpkin Lanterns, this fact is mitigated somewhat by the existence of Guerrilla quests, which give Pumpkin Lanterns as rewards.
Party Time Quest
These quests appear twice per day, at 12:00 and 20:00 UTC respectively. Party Time Quests have a higher chance to drop the event CE Halloween Princess and Trick Bats. They also grant Golden Apples as rewards. These can be completed at any time before the event ends, and you do not need to clear the preceding Party Time quests in order to get a new one.
Guerrilla Quest
These quests appear four times in a day, the exact time of which would be hidden somewhere in the event map. Guerrilla quests have a higher chance to drop various event items, as well as the event CE Maid in Halloween. These can be completed at any time before the event ends, and you do not need to clear the preceding Party Time quests in order to get a new one.
Event Shop
These are the amounts needed of each event item in order to fully clear the event shop:
Notably, Sweet Candles, Trick Bats and Pumpkin Lanterns can be exchanged for Cupcakes, meaning that the player need not focus on farming Cupcakes.
Farming Guide
It is recommended to do some FP gacha rolls, in order to secure a 3★ event CE. The non-gacha event CEs for each event item may be obtained either through quest drops, or by exchanging event items. Each CE grants a drop bonus to the material one tier below what it was exchanged with (e.g. Maid in Halloween, which is exchanged with Pumpkin Lanterns, grants a bonus drop to Trick Bats). Due to this fact, the *3 CE Trick or Treat can be skipped, as it is much more effective to obtain Cupcakes by exchanging higher-tier materials.
Party Time and Guerrilla quests provide the best farming spots for Trick Bats and Pumpkin Lanterns, respectively, meaning that it’s recommended to equip the appropriate CEs when entering.
Challenge Quest Guide
There are two challenge quests for this Halloween event: One for the free quests, and another for Guerrilla quests - the player obtains a Crystallized Lore upon the completion of each quest.
Free Quest: Encore Live
1/2
3 Shadow Elizabeth Bathory - Lancer (40,928 HP)
2/2
1 Elizabeth Bathory - Lancer (415,450 HP)
Notes: Due to being an all-Lancer quest, a party consisting of exclusively Sabers should be able to clear it rather easily.
Guerrilla Quest: All Night Visitors
The Guerrilla challenge quest is a 5-stage quest, consisting of all boss stages from Guerrilla quests. Hence, it is recommended to form a party with the priority of countering every single stage.
The enemies for this challenge quest are as follows:
1/5 1 Pumpkin Leader - Lancer (4,692 HP) 1 Hassan of the Cursed Arm - Assassin (76,002 HP) 1 Divine Arm of Dawn - Lancer (28,975 HP)
Recommended Servants: Medea Notes: Due to Hassan’s short NP charge, it is recommended to kill him as soon as possible.
Recommended Servants: Gilgamesh, Orion, Euryale, Robin Hood Notes: Although a pretty straightforward fight, Siegfried’s AoE NP may be somewhat troublesome.
Recommended Servants: Any hard-hitting non-Berserker Servant Notes: These hard-hitting Berserkers are arguably the most dangerous opponents of all five stages, as a stray crit or two may eliminate the player’s Servant. Clear this wave as soon as possible.
Recommended Servants: Any Rider Notes: At this stage it’s more of an endurance contest, meaning that any Rider with damaging Noble Phantasm would perform well. Still, pay attention to the opponents’ NP charges.
5/5 1 Pumpkin Leader - Saber (12,726 HP) 1 Tamamo no Mae - Caster (230,492 HP)
Recommended Servants: Any Rider, Healer Notes: Due to Tamamo’s non-damaging Noble Phantasm, this wave is arguably the easiest in the stage. Even so, the player’s party would also be somewhat low on HP, meaning that sustain-oriented Servants would be valuable.
Can confirm that event CE's don't increase the amount by which drops are increased. Apparently it is either a bug, or doesn't start until the event reruns next year?
Most likely a bug. All event CE's double the drops when Max Limit Broken.
zOLOMON
Using 2 or more of the same craft essences at the same time does give you the double+ drop increase? or is only 1 effective even if there are multiple of the same craft essences E.G 5 "Halloween Petit Devil"
