Cu Chulainn is a servant which wield the sword and shield on the same time. His Skills and attack ranges him well as a very capable fighter, yet his skill set make him one of the toughest tanks in the game. His Noble Phantasm capable in instant killing normal mobs (take note only for normal mobs not boss types) and also dishing out great damage. By enhancing its Noble Phantasm to Np 5 will make him a great arsenal against high hp opponents like dragons or such, making him the hero he meant to be.
Protection From Arrow B 3 turns of “can’t touch this” music.
Gae Bolg is an early solution for mobs with high HP pool
Cu Chulainn is ranked one of the best 3 Low Star Servants for years.
Close to none. But if you insist, his stats because he is limited as a 3* servant
Strategies & Tips
Cu Chulainn is a whole rounded fighter who welcomes the challenge. If he is in the front team, his dodge and guts will keep him survive and dishes out stable damage. If he was with the second team, he is then capable of surviving and finishing the job where the other failed. Always utilize His dodge with care, with that in mind do keep his guts active when the dodge finished.
Best Servants to Work with
Everyone. Cu Chulainn is one of the strongest tank in the game, with all his gimmicks cu is capable to work in every team. With 2 of his Art cards he is useful even in an Arts team, while in turn also helps the Buster oriented team to pump out Art combos. In the Quick oriented team, Cu might be able to work at his most, generating stars with Quick Combos and dishing out steady damages with Gae Bolg. Lastly, even thought when other servants might be restricted with classes during any stage, Cu’s survivability gave him the capability to stay alive and fight even saber class. Overall an awesome servant with an awesome skill set, do not hesitate! MAX HIM!
Start with 80% Np. It is and always be one of the most convenient CE in the game, It provide a fast reach for the np. Or if it was maxed we will be able to start the fight with 100% NP, Gae Bolg served.

After watching so many version of remakes basicly all fate junkies will sound out the name of the spear during the unleashing of the noble phantasm. Just shout it out loud. Gae Bolg!!! Barbed Spear That Pierced With Death(ok may be not the long part): It have one definitive effect… a chance of Instantly Killing the opponent. Also if the instantly killing were failed, it will dishes out damage and reduces enemy defense for 3 turns. It is a Quick Card Noble Phantasm which means with the other two Quick hit card you will be sitting on at least 15+ star for the next turn easily and comfortably.
Gae Bolg (Rank B)
Deals damage to a Single enemy. [Overcharge]Chance to cause instant death on one enemy. Reduces their defense for 3 turns.
(Skill 1 Battle Continuation A: A 5 turn Guts which makes Cu a continuous fighting force
(Skill 2) Protection From Arrow B: Grants Self Evasions for 3 Hits and Increases defense for 3 turns. This is the pinnacle of been a Shield, with this skill as a staple of all Cu Chulainn named character it actually makes most Tanker weep in shame. This piece of awesomeness make him the most famous shield of the game and make him capable in poking people with instant death and also dodging others noble phantasm.
(Skill 3) Disengage C: Removes Self Debuffs and Heals Own Hp. This… is the skill that just don’t serves much. It’s like that tool in batman belt that rarely been used. True that Removes debuff might be useful and but heal might means… close to nothing. Fate grand order is famous in making heals close to pointless (it took them 2 years to notice this).
Skill Priority: 2>1>3
Battle Continuation A
Available from the start Grants self guts status for 5 turns.
Protection from Arrows B
Unlocks after 1st Ascension Grants self evasion for 3 hits. Increases own defense for 3 turns.
Unlocks after 3rd Ascension Removes own debuffs. Recovers own HP.
Magic Resistance C Increases own resistance to debuffs by 15%.
Divinity B Increases own damage by 175.
Cu’s deck is an QQAAB deck. His Quick Based Noble phantasm gave him the QQQ possibility which in turn provides the next turn at least a 15+ crit star stock. Aside of that his NP gain of the 2 Arts were actually good which also let him able to dishes out multiple Gae Bolgs.
The one who write this never use Cu.I they do they will know that Cu only have one art card.
Cons: Bad NP gain
There you go. I acually use him so I know that you will be hard pressed to use his NP more than once without NP charge CE or servant.
Still a very good servant though.
Cu Chullain has a 1.07% NP generation rate, almost the same as Okita. That's a pretty decent NP generation rate. The thing that holds him back in terms of NP gen is his hitcount. He is very capable of using multiple NPs.
Depend on how many turns the battle take and team overall card layout.
If less than 9 turns or if art cards total is less than 6 then Cu NP gain is less than average and firing 2 NP takes bit of effort, his hit count is so averge in NP and stargen.
Okita can do 3-4 NP in 9 turns because of her hit counts + stargen so she is on a whole different level.
