Mysterious Heroine X or MHX for short is kind of a special servant as her skillset are meant to fight Saberface servants. However, outside of that, her usability falls off quite a bit as she isn’t that good when going up against other kinds of enemies.
Pros
High critical stars generation rate. Even though MHX’s stars generation rate isn’t as high as Jack the Ripper due to one less hit on her Quick card, but it is still on par with the other star focused servants such as Okita Shouji.
NP as a star generation tool. It is possible to use MHX’s NP as a tool to generate large amount of critical stars due to it being a Quick type and its high number of hit counts on one enemy, which can generate about 15 to 20 critical stars with overkill. As MHX is usually used within a Quick party that trades off raw damage output for high critical rate, the damage dealt maybe somewhat inconsistent. However, her NP alone at Level 1 deals quite a lot of damage without any buff which is often comparable to Scathach’s NP.
Fire Support, MHX' stun skill, hits all enemies. Stuns are usually used in boss battles where you want to restrict the actions of one powerful enemy unit. This is especially so in key moments such as delaying the deployment of enemy noble phantasms. Being able to inflict stun on all or most of the enemy units would be equivalent to invincibility or a free turn.
Cons
Skills are hard to use. MHX’s skillset is kind of mediocre with the stun from her first skill, Fire Support doesn’t even reach 100% success rate at max level, not to mention it only triggers one turn later. Her second skill, Instinct is straightforward critical stars gain but her third skill, Galaxy Meteor Sword only works when going up against Saberface enemies. If you don’t know what a Saberface is, they are technically servants that have almost the same face like the game’s mascot, Artoria Pendragon or more commonly known as Saber by the community. Therefore, it is a very situational skill to have as there aren’t many Saberface enemies out there.
Mysterious Heroine X’s survivability is not good right out the box. She badly needs her strengthening quest for Instinct to turn it into Star of Saber, adding 1 turn invincibility on top of the star gain effect. This vastly increases her survivability and protects her from enemy NPs.
Strategies & Tips
MHX is a critical focused servant that mainly utilizes her high star generation rate to slice her enemies into pieces with criticals. Even though she fell short quite a bit compared to other Assassins like Jack the Ripper in terms of damage, she is still able to perform quite well and you can see her full potential when fighting against Saberface servants.
Noble Phantasm
MHX’s Noble Phantasm, Himitsucalibur is a single target 12 hits NP that deals extra damage if the target has the Saberface trait. Without taking into account the extra damage dealt as it is quite situational, her NP damage is still quite good and it can generate lots of critical stars for next turn’s attack.
Scathach can support MHX by increasing her Quick cards performance for a turn with her Primeval Rune skill while dealing quite a bit of damage on her own especially with her NP.
Even though MHX herself is quite efficient in building up her NP gauge but additional NP charges are also welcomed, coupled with defensive buffs to increase her survivability.
Star Generation The additional supply of critical stars every turn makes MHX’s star generation rate much more stable even if you do not draw her Quick cards.
NP Charge Up In additional to the increase in NP damage and Quick cards performance, it also allows MHX to use her NP much faster with the 30% NP charge at the start, 50% if limit break.

Upgrade Priority
1 > 2 > 3
Although the first skill, Fire Support has a success rate of 80% at max level, we would like to prioritize it as the first skill to be levelled as it can stun multiple targets. Next, we raise her second skill to generate more critical stars along with quite a short cooldown of five turns at max. We leave the third skill for the last as it only works against Saberface servants making its range of usability very limited.

MHX’s command card performance is very good with excellent NP gain coupled with high star generation rate especially if you managed to line up a brave chain.
Actually, her third skill works against all Saber enemies. At max rank, she does as much damage to Saber enemies as Archer class Servants do, and it boosts her star generation as well.
It's still a niche skill, but not as much as you're making it out to be. It's her NP that only gets bonus damage against Saberface enemies.
