Scathach (Assassin)

Scathach (Assassin) also known as the great Shishou is without a doubt, one of the best looking servants in the game. However, she isn’t that good looking when you see the things she can bring to the table. On offense her kit is very good in certain scenarios, which the same can be said about what she offers on the defensive side of things. However, you are most probably going to see that overall she is awkward and weird to use.

Her base stats is high for a 4* assassin, with her attack only falling behind Carmilla. Her NP generation is very average and this is shown in her stats, she feels bad in actual gameplay as most assassin have disgusting NP gains and because some of her brave chains will provide very little NP. The same story can be said about her Crit star generation, it isn’t bad but she is easily outperformed by other assassin in this department.

Shishou skills makes her very awkward and weird to use as her first skill offers a taunt with a Crit damage up buff however, she cannot tank the big hits at all thus using it foolishly can cause her death. Her second skill provides her a decent heal (3000 HP at max) and damage cut debuff for 1 turn (1000 at max), this skill is very useful and can be paired with her first skill to tank enemy hits better. Her third skill grants her a invulnerability pierce and quick performance buff for a turn, pairing this with her NPQQ chain is without a doubt THE way to go.

Scathach (Assassin) should be used in a quick team and can be used as a Crit star generator for your team, her deck compliment this and with more quick cards you can also gain more Crit stars reliably and thus crit more reliably as well.

In this team, you might want to pair her with some form of a support as she doesn’t have very good sustain. You will also want to placed someone who can crit reliably for you, preferably a servant from the rider class as they usually have high star absorb.

Scathach (Assassin) NP is an AOE attack that shows our favorite Shishou raining down spears on her enemies, it only does 80% damage as it is a Quick card but this is compensated by the damage multiplier.

Fragments Of 2030: Gain 8 critical stars each turn
This CE is useful when using her as your Crit star generator as it makes her generate Crit stars more reliably and with more crit stars, comes more damage for your team.

Imaginary Around: Increases performance of unit's Quick cards by 25%
This CE is great to have if you want her for damage as with her deck and NP, she can utilitise the Quick card performance boost very often, not only will she deal more damage with her NP but she can also generate more Crit stars.

Castle Of The Sun: Critical attack damage +15%
Critical star generation +15%
25% NP Charged from Start.
Having this helps not only generate more Crit stars but also helps her deals more Crit damage as well. This stacks well with her skills but also helps compensate for her average NP and Crit star generation, plus it is easy to get the limit break effects as this is a Free event CE.

Be Elegant: Increases unit's critical star generation rate by 25%
Although there are better options for CE for Scathach (Assassin), Be Elegant is easier for most players to obtain thus making it a compelling CE especially because it gets the job done of helping Shishou become a more reliable Crit star Generator and just a better servants overall.

In no situation should this skill be maxed last as mentioned before, she is not a tank and cannot tank big hits. Even if you want it for the critical damage buff, she is not great at absorbing stars and her deck is not good at dishing out damage or gaining NP, hence this should be prioritised last.

  Recovers one ally's HP.
  Reduces damage taken for 1 turn.

This skill is her only way to support her team and only her only defensive tool, upgrading this first is essential especially if with a quick team as they don’t usually have good sustain.

• Midsummer Faux Pas C
  Grants self invincibility pierce for 1 turn.
  Increases own Quick card performance for 1 turn.

This skill is extremely good when coupled with her NPQQ chain and with her deck you are going to get it often. I would even go as far as to say that you might want to prioritise this over her second skill if your team has a good support and sustain, it’s that good.

2=3>1: if your team doesn’t have much sustain then prioritise her second skill first as the heals are decent and the damage cut debuff can come in clutch at times. However, if you are using her a means to deal damage or if your team has good sustain, then going with her third skill may prove to be worth upgrading first as it compliments her game very well.

Scathach (Assassin) deck is standard for most assassin and with this deck, she can easily get you stars as she can often get her QQQ chain off and since her NP is also a Quick card, you can expect to use her NPQQ chain as well.
