Altria Pendragon (Lancer Alter) is currently unavailable on the EN version. Altria Pendragon (Lancer Alter) is added to the Story Saint Quartz Summon lineup after 4th Singularity: London is completed.
Boasting powerful damage and an optimized damage-oriented skillset, Altria (Alter Lancer) is easily one of the best SR Lancers in the game. With a powerful-than-normal Mana Burst skill, and a complete critical support set in one skill, she is famous for her high critical damage, especially on Buster cards. Additionally, her Noble Phantasm has a chance to apply an NP seal on the enemies, which is a highly useful tool in harder fights.
However, her single-Arts deck hinders her NP gain, which worsens her synergy with the normally three-Arts card support Servants. As with her Saber counterpart, Altria Alter’s charisma is ranked E, which gives a paltry 12% buff at level 10. To add to these, her critical buffs only last for one turn, making her burst phase a really short one. She also has no survival skill, which means that Altria has to rely on her allies to keep her alive.
Pros
High attack stat, especially when coupled with the Lancer class modifier.
Complete critical set allows for her to be rather independent of supports in the damage department.
Her offensive skillset synergizes well.
Noble Phantasm has NP Seal, which also prevents the opponents from gaining NP charge.
Cons
Major buffs only last for one turn.
No survival kit whatsoever.
Relatively poor NP gain due to only having one Arts card.
Strategies & Tips
Altria Pendragon (Alter Lancer) is best used with support-type Servants who can amplify her damaging potential. In battle, she aims to unleash a high-damage critical brave chain on the opponent. Due to her nature, it is best to unleash everything into that single turn.
Noble Phantasm
Rhongomyniad is an AoE Noble Phantasm, which has a chance to apply an NP seal debuff on the enemies. It also applies a 5-turn curse; however, the curse damage is negligible when compared to her damage potential. As NP seals also prevent the opponents from gaining NP gauge naturally, there is no need to save her NP. Instead, it should be used to form a powerful brave chain as early as possible.
The obvious choice for Buster critical-oriented Servants, Merlin allows Alter Lancer’s damage to reach unprecedented heights, although the effect is somewhat smaller than for some others due to her already-high Buster and Critical buffs and low attack buff.
Zhuge’s NP charging skills aids Alter Lancer greatly, as it allows her to use non-starting NP Craft Essences to deal more damage. Additionally, his buffs are all appreciated, as the attack buff is multiplicated with both Buster buff and critical buff, the critical buff adds to her formidable critical damage, and the defense buff helps her rather poor survival.
Hans' star generation helps Alter Lancer more than other people, as when it is combined with Alter Lancer’s second skill, it can generate sufficient stars to allow her to unleash an NP critical brave chain rather reliably. His heal and defense buff also covers her survival aspect, and the attack buff scales really well.
Best CEs
Starting NP
Kaleidoscope or The Imaginary Element Due to her deck, Alter Lancer often struggles with filling her NP gauge. These Craft Essences take care of that weakness, allowing her to unleash her NP Brave chains much earlier.
Buster Performance
Limited/Zero Over or Verdant Sound of Destruction These CEs increase Alter Lancer’s overall damage, including her Noble Phantasm, though it also affects her normal Buster cards, allowing them to deal heavier damage even without critting.
Combination
Victor from the Moon Craft Essences which combine Buster Performance bonus with other things, most often the critical damage bonus. However, it is not recommended to use a pure critical damage bonus Craft Essence, as her critical burst phase only lasts for one turn.
Deals heavy DEF-ignoring damage to all enemies. Medium chance to inflict NP Seal (3 turns). [Overcharge] Inflict Curse (5 turns) for all enemies.

Mana Burst A+
Alter Lancer’s Mana Burst is more powerful than her normal versions, capping at 55% instead of the normal 50%. As her primary means of damage needs both this skill and Blessings from the End of the World, it is imperative to keep them both on the same cooldown count, which means leveling them together. However, outside of the crucial cooldown-reducing skill levels, this skill takes slight precedence as it increases her NP damage.
Blessings from the End of the World A
This skill contains a complete critical set, that is, critical damage and critical absorb buffs, as well as a critical star gain effect. As the number of stars given is rather low, this skill alone is not enough to guarantee a critical brave chain for Alter Lancer. Level this skill along with Mana Burst, making sure that both skills have the same cooldown.
Charisma E
By far her weakest skill, Charisma E grants a small attack buff to the whole party. Due to the associated cost, this is one of the skills which should be left alone unless you have resources lying around, or for completion purposes. Still, at level ten, its buff becomes somewhat decent - roughly equal to a level 3 Charisma A.

Alter Lancer’s QQABB deck can feel rather awkward in proper teams, as the lack of Arts cards often hinder the making of Arts chains. However, it does allow her to provide more critical stars, which makes her criticals somewhat more reliable when she is without support.
