Chiyome is mainly used to harass opponents through her NP seal and skill seal. Her decent NP gain and good star generation assists her in this regard, the former of which is reinforced by her third skill’s NP charge. She also possesses a hard defensive skill in the form of Evasion, and additionally, the curse debuffs she provides may be helpful in some stages.
Unfortunately, however, Chiyome’s ATK is notably low, something made even worse by her Assassin modifier. In exchange for her Arts buff lasting for three turns, it possesses a somewhat lower percentage. As there are already some solid Assassins with similar role (i.e. Arts-type single target NP), these weaknesses mean that she would have a somewhat hard time competing against her alternatives.
Pros
Both NP Seal and Skill Seal are useful tools for harder stages, and rarely does a single Servant possess both.
Decent NP gain thanks to Arts buff.
Decent star generation.
Low cooldowns.
Cons
Low damage output.
There are similar Servants already in the pool.
Strategies & Tips
Chiyome is best used as a secondary damage dealer, focusing on harassing the opponents through his NP Seal and Skill Seal. She is fairly self-sufficient, meaning that the party can focus on other Servants (possibly the main damage dealer) - still, she appreciates any kind of help for her NP gain. With sufficient buffs in the party, she can be used as a primary damage dealer, though her damage output would be less compared to her alternatives.
Noble Phantasm
Kuchiyose・Ibuki Daimyojin Engi is an Arts-type damage-dealing single-target Noble Phantasm, which seals the target’s skills for one turn, and reduces their critical chance for three turns. This Noble Phantasm also serves as Chiyome’s primary means of damage dealing, meaning that it would be best to focus damage buffs on it.
As the best Arts buffer available in the game, Tamamo is a natural fit for Chiyome. Additionally, her Witchcraft skill also works well with his NP seal, something that is made even better by her NP’s cooldown reduction. Aside from this, there is also the fact that Tamamo’s buff increases Chiyome’s NP damage. Her heals are also highly beneficial for the team’s survivability.
Caster Gilgamesh aids Chiyome’s NP gain with his Arts buff, as well as greatly improving her star generation through his buff. Aside from this, Gilgamesh also provides a means of performing AoE damage, and his defense buff helps the party’s survivability.
A fellow Assassin, Shuten Douji possesses an identical deck to Chiyome, and possesses some similar traits - namely, a balance between NP gain and star generation, as well as her skill seal. Additionally, she also grants some extent of damage support, which is highly beneficial for Chiyome.
These CEs aim to bring Chiyome’s NP damage to a decent level, somewhat alleviating her weaknesses. Still, her damage would not be anything stellar even with their help, meaning that she would still need the help of external buffs.
Should be equipped if Chiyome is used as a secondary damage dealer. It amplifies her decent star generation, thus contributing to the team’s overall NP gain.
Enhances Chiyome’s NP gain and damage from Arts cards. These improve both how much she can spam her Skill Seal, as well as the damage her NP deals. Naturally, however, the NP damage increase would be less than that of NP Damage Up CEs.

Witchcraft (Oracle) C
Applies an NP seal on the target for one turn. This effect is extremely potent, as it also prevents opponents from gaining NP - meaning it can be used even when the target’s NP gauge is empty. It also possesses a relatively low cooldown, and as it starts off with a 80% chance at level 1, it means that the skill would most of the time be leveled for the cooldown.
Serpent’s Curse B
Increases Chiyome’s own Arts performance and grants her a chance to apply curse on opponents through her normal attacks, both of which last for three turns. As her main damage-increasing skill, this skill should be leveled first.
Koga-ryu A
Grants an Evasion buff for Chiyome for one turn, and charges her NP gauge. Under normal situations it will be more often used for the NP charge, meaning that the cooldown is especially important in order for the Evasion to be used in cases of emergency.

Chiyome’s QQAAB deck provides a balance between star generation and NP gain. The deck assists her in spamming her NP - and in extension, the skill seal - meaning that this deck is the best for Chiyome, short of triple Arts decks, which is extremely rare among Assassins.
