Columbus acts as another AoE damager Rider, but unfortunately, his stats and skills scale very low, which severely hinders his damage. Perhaps it is best to call him an alternative Edward Teach, as he is able to survive for less, but is able to charge his NP faster and potentially deal more damage. He’s also somewhat comparable to Drake, being able to generate stars decently and charge his NP, albeit with less damage.
Pros
AoE NP damage up and attack up skill boosts NPs considerably.
Decent NP charging and stargen for self.
Buster crit potential can boost his offense.
Cons
Skills scale very low.
Poor attack stats.
Strategies & Tips
Funnily enough, Columbus fits within the mold of our previous voyagers, except that he’s somewhat a mix between Teach and Drake. He deals some damage, is able to charge his NP, survive with guts, instantly produce stars, generate through hits, and what not. Unfortunately, his skills don’t really scale high, which makes him rather unsatisfactory. Therefore, if one wishes to use him, it would be best to pair him with supports who can stack buffs with him to boost his damage.
Noble Phantasm
Columbus’ NP deals surprisingly average damage, despite having 3 multiplicative buffs. This is rather disappointing, but it is still useful to create Buster brave chains for himself, especially since he can produce stars instantly and absorb them reliably. It also gives a decrease in the enemy’s crit rate, which is very useful for battles these days, since enemies seem to like decimating parties instantly with consistent crits.
Provides offensive and defensive buffs through his skills and NP, as well as charging the party’s NP gauge. Zhuge Liang can also buff Columbus’ damage with his crit up skill, as well as give a high scaling def debuff to improve his low atk.
Shakespeare is able to provide a big Buster up to increase Columbus’ damage, and his 3rd skill upgrade can let Columbus produce a good number of stars with his hitcounts on his Quick, Buster, and Extra attacks.
Hans provides Arts cards to increase chances for Arts chains, aiding Columbus NP gain. Hans is also produce stars passively and buff crit damage, which can improve Columbus’ overall damage.
Merlin is able to boost Columbus’ weak damage significantly with his Buster up, Atk up, and Crit up. He is also able to passively produce stars for him to use, and is able to heal him so that he stays on the field longer.
Drake fits well with her fellow voyager, and both would be able to generate stars for each other and boost each other’s offense, while also being able to perform Arts and Buster chains with each other.
Best CEs
Increase in Buster Performance
This would increase Columbus overall Buster damage, especially on crits.
Attack up and Buster up skills are easier to find compared to NP damage up, so it would be a good choice to give Columbus this CE if one is pairing him with allies who can boost his attack and Buster damage.
Columbus suffers from very low attack, so boosting his attack would increase his overall normal damage, and stack with his other buffs to boost his damage on his crits and NP.
When equipped to Columbus (Rider) only, increase Buster Card effectiveness and NP Gain for all allies by 10% while on the field.

Voyager of the Storm B
An AoE burst skill to boost NP damage in general. Having 2 different buffs means that they would multiply, allowing Columbus and his allies to get a decent boost in his NP damage. It scales to a total 30% boost in NP damage.
Unyielding Will C
A rather decent NP charge skill with some survival mixed into it. Pretty straightforward, but with the short duration of the guts, it would be harder to use it to charge NP without sacrificing the guts.
Conquistador EX
Even though this provides Columbus with another multiplicative buff, this doesn’t boost his NP damage to significant levels. This is due to its low scaling, which maxes at 20%. However, it is still rather useful to boost Columbus’ damage, by using it with his 1st skill for an NP Buster chain with crits. It also lasts for 3 turns, which can be very useful if he’s supported well.

Columbus comes with a QAABB deck, which allows him to charge NP decently while being able to perform Buster chains. While it doesn’t go far, his hitcounts at least allow him to generate a good amount of stars to use for himself.
