Nightingale is mainly a support Servant who comes with some offensive capabilities. She possesses two healing options - one from her skill (the amount of which is above the average heal), and another from her Noble Phantasm, the latter of which also greatly reduces incoming damage (especially after her NP Upgrade). Another notable part of her kit is her Buster buff, which maxes at 50% for 3 turns, making her a valuable support for Buster-oriented Servants. She is also able to gain increased attack and defense against humanoids opponents, which includes most Servants.
However, her class itself comes as a two-edged sword. While it allows her to hit harder, it also means that she takes twice as much damage from most opponents, severely crippling her survivability. As a result of this drawback, Nightingale’s healing skill will most likely be used on herself, reducing her supporting capabilities as well. Even so, she receives greatly reduced NP damage from Servants with both her NP’s debuffs and her second skill active - 12.5% of what she’d otherwise take, which translates to 25% of a NP’s normal damage with Berserkers’ fragility in mind. She is also eligible for defense buff stacking strategies due to the NP upgrade.
Pros
Normal attacks hit harder than other Servants due to Berserker class.
Provides a reliable way for the team to survive Noble Phantasms.
Good Buster buff.
Above-average heal.
Low star weight means that she won’t get in the damage dealer’s way.
Cons
Low sustainability.
Due to QAABB deck, her NP gain is slower compared to other support Servants.
Her second skill’s effects can be somewhat situational.
Strategies & Tips
Nightingale is best paired with a Buster-oriented damage dealer Servant. Her buff should be used on the Servant’s burst turns, while her heals should be used as needed. It may be wise, however, to hold off on using her Noble Phantasm if an opponent’s Noble Phantasm is coming in the next few turns. Due to her nature, it is highly recommended to bring along another Servant to assist with the team’s sustainability - preferably those with defense buffs/attack debuffs.
Noble Phantasm
Nightingale Pledge heals the whole party and removes their debuffs. At base, it also comes with a significant NP reduction debuff to the opponents - 50% at base, to 100% at maximum overcharge. After her upgrade, it also applies a 50% attack reduction debuff on all opponents, significantly reducing all damages for one turn. Due to the high attack reduction modifier, it is also possible to stack defense buffs in order to reach total damage reduction.
Buster Damage Dealers Jeanne d’Arc [Alter], Ramesses II, Gilgamesh Due to her card buff type, Buster-type damage dealers are the best match for Nightingale - especially those with critical damage capabilities. Servants who are to some extent able to sustain themselves are preferred, so Nightingale can ensure her own survival.
After Nightingale’s upgrade, Mash becomes a great pairing for her. This is due to her massive defense buffs, which enables the team to achieve a 100% defense up simply through Mashu’s buffs and Nightingale’s NP.
Zhuge’s 30% defense buff, when paired with Nightingale’s NP and second skill, is enough to allow Nightingale to reach 100% defense up against humanoid opponents. His NP gain skills also help her in performing Noble Phantasms more often, while his offensive buffs also go in hand with Nightingale’s.
As a support Servant, Nightingale benefits most from this type of Craft Essence, as it allows her to more reliably perform her NP. They make up for her lack of Arts cards and/or NP generation skill, and should be her primary choice for most stages.
Being a Buster-oriented support, this type of Craft Essence is a natural fit for Nightingale, due to the popularity of Buster critical Servants. Due to her low critical star weight, she herself would gain little to no benefit from these Craft Essences, but these would benefit the team’s overall performance greatly.
After her NP upgrade, this type of Craft Essence allow Nightingale to reach the 100% defense buff value more easily. These should be used when Nightingale is paired with other Servants possessing defense buffs.
After her NP upgrade, Nightingale’s NP is one of the best NP damage mitigation options in the game. Due to this fact, this type of Craft Essence would be useful in stages where Nightingale’s NP is needed early on.
When equipped on Nightingale, Increase Buster Card performance of all allies by 10% while she's on the field and All allies get +20% health received from healing while she's on the field.

For general usage, her Buster buff is the main reason for using her, meaning that it should be leveled first. However, in the context of proper endgame teams, her survival becomes that much more important, which changes the overall priority.
General usage priority: 3/1/2
Proper team (defense buff) priority: 2/1/3
Nurse of Steel A
An above average targeted heal with 5 turn cooldowns at max level. Outside of her Noble Phantasm, this is Nightingale’s primary way of healing her allies. While it looks high in number, however, it is somewhat minor if used on herself, due to her being a Berserker. This skill mainly benefits from the cooldown reduction it gets when leveled.
Human Comprehension A
Due to familiarity with humans, increases her attack and defense when fighting humanoid opponents. This skill’s buffs are attack and defense buffs respectively, meaning that the latter can be combined with her post-upgrade Noble Phantasm for a 75% defense up against humanoid opponents. This makes it really easy for her to stack defense buffs in tandem with other Servants.
Angel’s Cry EX
Significantly increases an ally’s Buster card performance for three turns. This skill is her primary allure, as it allows the main damage dealer to perform extraordinary amounts of damage for three turns. This skill mostly benefits from the percentage increase, though the cooldown decrease is also appreciated.

Nightingale’s QAABB deck allows her access to both NP gain and damage. However, as with her class, this is also a double-edged sword, due to her primarily supporting role. This means that she can’t unleash her powerful Noble Phantasm as often compared to most other Servants. This is one of the factors which hurt her overall survivability, though on the other hand, it makes her gameplay more interesting and allows her to actually benefit from the Berserker class thanks to the extra Buster card.
