Nightingale is a Berserker class servant that works as a semi-support while still being able to deal quite a bit of damage especially against servant enemies. However, as a Berserker class she would take twice the damage from every other classes, making her effective HP to be just around 8k despite having 16k HP at max level.
Excellent semi-support. Nightingale’s Nurse of Steel skill is a very good HP recovery skill in the game which only lose out a little bit to Yin Yang A but the latter does come with the demerit of draining your own NP gauge by 10%. Moreover, Yin Yang A can only be applied to herself but Nurse of Steel can be used on allies, making it a much better supporting skill. Besides that, her Angel’s Cry skill can also be used either on herself or allies, allowing her to be pretty flexible with her role whether to act as main attacker or semi-support.
Low star absorption rate. Although usually having a low star absorption rate is a bad thing to have, but in this case Nightingale can act as a critical stars supplier to the other servants with high star absorption rate as she deals a lots of hits on her Quick and Extra cards.
NP that counters NPs. Even though Nightingale’s doesn’t deal any damage but removes debuffs and heal her allies, its main use lies within its ability to decrease the NP damage of the enemy servants. Its NP damage reduction is considered the highest compared to the other NP damage reduction skill in the game with 50% reduction at Level 1. Combined with other defensive buffs or damage reduction, it is theoretically possible to make the enemy’s NP to hit for zero damage.
Low durability. Even though Nightingale can be considered as a semi-support to the party but the fact that she is a Berserker class makes her highly vulnerable to incoming damage where she might be the one to die first in the party. Therefore, it is appropriate to think about your team setup beforehand so that there are other members that can support her with defensive buffs to increase her survivability.
Strategies & Tips
Nightingale is one of the few servants that can be considered as a support among the Berserker class due to her skillset of being able to heal and buff the Buster card performance of the other party members. However, do take note that she does not have any defensive skills such as self guts or self evasion that helps her to survive the battle much longer while sustaining the party with her HP recovery. In that case, it is recommended to pair her with another support such as Waver or Mashu that can help her in terms of survivability.
Nightingale’s Noble Phantasm, Nightingale Pledge removes all the debuffs from her allies and recovers their HP upon use, at the same time reduces the enemies NP damage for a turn. Even though the usage of her NP maybe too situational at times but it is best to be used against servants that have NP which pierces through invincibility or ignore defense buffs.
