Gilles de Rais (Caster)

Despite his fearsome looks, Gilles de Rais isn’t the servant that you would want to put in your party as there are many servants out there that can do the same stuff that he can but with better efficiencies.

• Able to stun enemies. Gilles third skill, Evil Eye of the Abyss applies the Fear status on all enemies for five turns, meaning that they have a certain chance to be stunned within these five turns which would removed the debuff when success. Even though it is unreliable as you don’t know when it will triggers but you can increase the success rate using his first skill.

• Low damage. Gilles overall damage is very weak without any kind of offensive buff in his skillset. The only way he can deal quite a bit of damage is by using his NP but don’t expect too much from it as it is inferior compared to the others.

Gilles acts as a support for the party but doesn’t really provide that much utility to the party unlike the top tiers supports. However, he does have the ability to stun enemies and reducing their attack with his NP.

Gilles’s Noble Phantasm, Prelati’s Spellbook deals damage to every enemies while reducing their attack for the next three turns. Even though the damage dealt isn’t that great but the attack reduction of 40% at Level 5 can be useful when taking into account that it is easy for him to reach NP5 as a 3* servant.

• First of all we focused on levelling both his third and first skill for the stun effect and increase the success rate of the stun. The second skill is left for the last as even though it can reduce the target’s NP damage for a turn, 11% reduction at max level might not be enough to ensure your survival and it is better to depend on defensive buffs instead.

	Magic Resistance B Increases own resistance to debuffs by 17.5%.
	Mad Enhancement EX Increases own Buster card performance by 12%.
	Riding B Increases own Quick card performance by 8%.

Gilles’s command cards performance is kind of average with slightly high star generation but with only one Quick card he is not going to help out too much in generating critical stars.
