Best described as a survivalist, Void Shiki obtains this role thanks to her third skill’s heal, likely the best self-healing skill (in terms of magnitude compared to cooldown) in the game. She is also particularly useful in a stage with many mobs, as her AoE NP has a chance to instant kill each opponent, and as she is Arts-oriented, can be pretty spammable in the correct teams. Her NP’s built-in debuff removal is also highly valuable in certain stages, and greatly benefit Servants with demerit (such as pre-NP upgrade Jeanne d’Arc).
However, Shiki also has quite a lot weaknesses across all fields, making her somewhat unnoticeable compared to her Assassin version. The first and most noticeable is that her NP, being unupgraded, deals mediocre damage. Secondly, despite possessing a good self-heal skill, having no defensive skill means that she has to completely rely on allies to be able to survive an opponent’s NP. Furthermore, even the healing skill has an NP charge reduction demerit, which lessens its versatility unless Shiki is at NP2 and up.
Pros
AoE instant kill chance
High sustainability
Debuff removal to team
Cons
Mediocre NP damage
No hard defensive skill
Heal skill’s demerit is somewhat of a problem at NP1
Strategies & Tips
Void Shiki is best used alongside Arts-oriented damage support Servants, in order to somewhat make up for her low damage. It may also be a good idea to include an ally with a party-wide defensive skill, to cover her lack of hard defensive skill. In combat, Shiki’s first two skills should be used whenever she is about to perform her NP, while her healing skill should be used as needed - preferably on non-NP turns, in order to not screw up her timing.
Noble Phantasm
Mukushiki: Kara no Kyoukai deals damage to all opponents, and has a chance to instantly kill the affected units. It also removes all debuffs from Shiki’s party. While mediocre in terms of damage and unreliable in instant-killing, this NP’s debuff removal is a boon for Servants such as Jeanne d’Arc, before the latter’s NP upgrade. The instant kills may also come in handy against higher-HP mobs, though it is better to rely on it as little as possible.
As an Arts-oriented damage dealer, Shiki benefits greatly from Tamamo, as the latter provides a high-percentage Arts buff. Tamamo’s NP’s NP charge also allows Shiki perform her NP more often, while at the same time, the cooldown reduction enables Shiki to perform much more flexibly.
Jeanne covers Shiki’s greatest weakness - that is, her lack of an invulnerability/evasion - through her NP. This pairing is even more notable before Jeanne’s NP upgrade, as the Stun on Luminosite Eternelle can be removed by Mukushiki: Kara no Kyoukai.
Somewhat making up for Shiki’s lack of defensive skill, Mash contributes to the team via her amazing defense buffs, greatly reducing pressure and even enabling defense-stacking strategies.
This CE type aims to fix Shiki’s low NP damage - something especially important as she relies on it to do damage. In the case of Black Grail, the HP demerit is more than countered by Shiki’s heal.
The main benefit of using this type of CE is that they also benefit Shiki’s normal cards - thereby increasing her overall performance - while still benefiting her NP, through both damage and NP gain. It has to be noted, however, that the damage increase will be less than with NP damage up Craft Essences.
This CE type turns enhances her formidable healing skill even further, meaning she would rarely need outside healing to survive. Unfortunately, her lack of evasion remains a glaring weakness.
When equipped on Ryougi Shiki (Saber), increase Arts Card effectiveness for all allies by 15% while on the field.

Mystic Eyes of Death Perception C
Increasing Shiki’s Arts performance, allows her to ignore Invincibility and Evasion effects for one turn, as well as decreasing the instant death resistance of all enemies. Her primary buffing skill, this skill should generally be leveled first, allowing it to keep up with Arts teams’ fast NP cycle.
Cloud Shine B
As the mental debuff resistance buff is mostly a bonus, this skill would be used mainly for the level up - which is somewhat low in percentage. As the least contributing skill in Shiki’s skillset, this skill should be leveled last.
Yin Yang A
Heals Shiki for a large amount of HP, at the cost of slightly reducing her NP gauge. With the demerit in mind, this skill’s heal would only become significant at around skill level 5-6, which means that leveling it should be a priority.

Command Cards Rating
With a balanced QAABB deck, Shiki deals decent damage through her normal attacks, aided by her second skill’s attack up. However, the skill alone isn’t nearly enough for her to make the most of the two Buster cards. As with most Arts-oriented damage dealers, this means that she is reliant on her NP to deal damage, which leaves her command card composition somewhat wanting.
