King Hassan fields and incredibly focused set in terms of proc-ing his death effects. His set also focuses on pushing out large numbers on his buster cards and critting while also debuffing enemies to confirm his instakill effects. King Hassan has a nice set of base stats, with HP higher than the average assassins and a pretty decent attack stat for an assassin. His passive skills protect him from any pesky debuffs from enemy with his debuff resistance, his immunity to death effects and a huge resistance from charm effects. He has an increased stargen rate paired with his independent action allows him to crit more consistently and with higher numbers.
His generation stats are strangely high for someone like him, allowing him to probably fill his NP gauge with a BQA chain if he crits, but due to his deck only containing one Arts and Quick card, he has trouble doing these kinds of chains consistently, leading to erratic NP and stargen. Compared to his fellow assassins however, his stargen is terrible, mostly due to the lack of quick cards, averaging around 20 stars per chain.
King Hassan’s set is extremely unique, but whether it is effective is another question. King Hassan’s skillset focuses on instadeath which is highly RNG reliant; never a good thing. This on top of the fact that most high level bosses are extremely resistant to instadeath leads to a drop in King Hassan’s usability in hard content.
Pros
High survivability due to stats and skills
High damage output on his attacks
Deck leans towards a high damage output set
Is literally death
Cons
Inconsistent in NP and stargen
Niche usage
Class modifier counters his attack stat
Strategies & Tips
Hassan would like to be paired with servants who can boost his NP gauge or provide stars for him to make sure that he’s consistently NPing while also doing tons of crit damage. His first skill should only be used when he is in risk of being beaten/ low in terms of health. His second skills tops himself off with some HP in rough spots while also buffing himself up in attack and defense to protect and put out more damage. The debuff resistance also can be helpful in many situations. His last skill should be activated before he uses his NP, giving him a boost to his Buster cards while also allowing him to land instakills easier.
Noble Phantasm
Azrael is a single target Buster NP which only has a single hit. It has a great damage multiplier while also sporting a 100% chance of instadeath on overcharge. While this might not proc all the time, it has a good chance against enemies who do not have a good resistance to instadeath skillss.
Once again, our favorite mage shows up where the words Buster and Crit are mentioned. He eases Hassan’s weaknesses of stargen and filling his NP gauge while also providing flat damage, heals and buster and crit buffs. What more can you ask for?
Nightingale is another splendid choice to pair with Hassan, pushing his survivability even higher than before, making sure that heroes never die. Hassan will also appreciate the buster boosts on her skills while also taking care of the rare chance that a debuff has landed on him.
Minamoto is a good support to Hassan, providing an attack buff and stargen buff, ensuring they both crit often on their attacks. Their buster heavy decks also ensure regular buster chains, hitting foes hard. Her 2nd skill also gives boosts to Buster cards on anyone in the team, allowing her to strengthen Hassan even further. Her NP also has an overcharge skill giving 20 crit stars at least, allowing the 2 of them to crit without worry.
With the sheer number of buster cards in Hassan’s deck, it’s no surprise that this is a recommendation. L/ZO makes sure he deals consistent damage without worrying about whether he crits or not, making the pressing issue of his stargen less worrying.
Halloween princess gives Hassan a nice boost to his NP damage, allowing to put out more damage than before just in case he doesn’t kill the enemy. On top of that, he has bonus NP given to him at the start of the battle, making sure he NPs earlier than usual
DB gives Hassan bonus NP charge at the start of the battle, ensuring he NPs earlier in a fight. Furthermore he gains overcharge effects, letting him have a higher chance of instakilling enemies with his NP.
