As per his lore, Siegfried is a Servant specializing in fighting Dragons. He also boasts the highest HP pool among *4 Servants released thus far, exceeding that of his fellow bulky Saber, d’Eon. However, this comes at the cost of a much lower ATK compared to his peers, which hurts Siegfried a lot since it makes his Noble Phantasm, Balmung, very weak compared to other Noble Phantasms. He also lacks a damage buff outside of his Dragon Slayer skill, thereby making Siegfried one of the lowest-damage Servants in the game. Despite his Anti-Dragon capabilities, most dragons are classified under the Rider class, a fact which makes Assassins much more suited for the task.
Pros
Practically invincible against dragons.
Good survival.
Team flexibility.
Cons
Low Noble Phantasm damage (After the NP rank-up quest, it becomes much more useful. Currently the quest is unavailable on the EN ver.)
Niche is not relevant.
No real role outside of dragon-killing.
There are other more preferable options even in his niche.
Strategies & Tips
Using Siegfried when not fighting Dragons is not recommended. Against Dragons, use Dragon Slayer when fighting the boss, or at the start of the fight if he is sure to be able to use it again in the boss wave. Golden Rule and Disengage are to be used as needed.
Noble Phantasm
Balmung is an Area-of-Effect Noble Phantasm. It generally deals a low amount of damage, although the number increases up to nearly twice its original damage against Dragons (depending on the Dragon Slayer skill’s level).

Upgrade Priority
Dragon Slayer: Gives Siegfried up to 80% damage increase and 30% damage reduction against Dragons. This includes Servants with the [Dragon] trait, such as all Altria variants, Kiyohime and Elizabeth Bathory among others. Level up this skill first if you want him to focus on killing Dragons. [JP-Only] With the addition of a built-in Mana Burst, this skill becomes his best skill by far, and should be upgraded before the other two.
Golden Rule: It is recommended to level up this skill for general Siegfried use, since he would most of the time be forced to use damage-oriented Craft Essences to patch his poor ATK.
Disengage: This skill should be leveled up last, as 2.500 HP healing is not exactly major for a Servant who is bulky to begin with. Of course, the cooldown reduction is still valuable.

The balanced QAABB deck is probably one of Siegfried’s best points. This allows him to help his teammates in both damage and NP generation. The deck also allows Siegfried to make Buster Brave chains when combined with his Noble Phantasm, which helps his damage somewhat.
