Quetzalcoatl, the South American bird deity is a very strong servant in the game that has the same power level as the highly sought after Jeanne d’Arc (Alter), performing well in almost any party setup but works the best within one that focused on critical stars and Busters. Even though she does lack a bit in terms durability where it was traded for higher damage output, it can be covered by pairing her with our beloved supports, Merlin and Waver (Zhuge Liang).

• High attack power

  Quetz is a very strong servant that has three offensive buffs packed within her skillset, not to forget her Goddess’ Essence EX passive skill that increases her damage dealt by 300. Her Charisma skill is the usual party’s attack increase skill while her Good God’s Wisdom skill increases the target’s Buster cards performance for three turns along with applying the Guts status on them, allowing it to be used either offensively or defensively. Onto her third skill, Fighting for Freedom is a one turn burst effect where it increases Quetz’s star absorption, critical damage and NP gauge which when used along with her NP is going to deal devastating damage onto the enemy.

• Skills with defensive effects

  As mentioned before, Quetz’s Good God’s Wisdom skill also comes with the effect of applying Guts status on its target, making it a flexible skill to be used according to situation. Besides that, her NP can also seals the target’s NP for a turn, giving you one extra turn to attack the enemy and possibly take them out especially if they have an AOE NP that can destroy your whole party if unleashed.

• Long cooldown on skills

  Except for Charisma which has the usual five turns cooldown at max level, the other skills all have a pretty long cooldown especially the Good God’s Wisdom skill that starts with a nine turns cooldown and only reduced to seven turns at max level. Therefore, it is appropriate to plan your skills’ usage carefully so that it would be available when you want to go for a one turn burst damage.

Quetz’s main role in a party is a critical focused attacker that feasts on the critical stars generated by her allies and translating them into high critical hit numbers by using her Fighting for Freedom skill. Besides that, her base attack stat is also the highest among the Rider class servant pool and does not come with a lower HP value as demerit as her HP is still pretty average and not lowered by a lot.

Quetz’s Noble Phantasm, Xiuhcoatl is a single target NP that deals huge damage especially when combined with her Good God’s Wisdom skill. Moreover, it also seals the target’s NP for a
turn and applies Burn onto them which damages them for a fixed amount of damage for five turns.

When choosing which skill to be raised first for Quetz, the third skill should be given the top priority as it provides a huge damage boost for a turn besides charging up her NP gauge. After that, we would like to turn our attention to her second skill that is very useful especially if you placed her within a party with other Buster focused servants. We leave the first skill for the last as even though it is pretty decent attack buff for the party but we have to give the priority to other skills that provide a higher increase in damage output.

Quetz’s command card performance is pretty decent and should be used to aim for overkill due to the high number of hit counts on her cards. Besides that, her star generation and NP gain are higher than the average Rider class servants and should be taken advantage of to charge up her NP gauge quickly.
