Scathach is a Lancer class servant that can be considered as a critical-focused attacker due to the high number of hits on her command cards. Even though she does have an excellent skill that increases her critical damage and star absorption, some people tend to stray away from using her as the success rate is based on luck which doesn’t increase with the level of the skill.
Pros
Nice Quick buff
Scathach has a skill that increases Quick cards’ performance up to 50% at max level and it can be used not only on herself but her party members as well. Therefore, it is a good buff to have especially on Quick NP servants such as Okita Shouji and Berserker Lancelot.
High Hit Count Buster Card
Due to Scathach’s high number of hit counts on her Buster card, she greatly benefits from the bonuses when putting Quick or Arts in the first slot when queueing your attacks such as generating more critical stars and filling your NP gauge.
Excellent Damage Output from Brave Chain
If you are able to pull off a brave chain with Scathach, she can do quite a lot of damage when combined with her active skills. Make sure that you queue your command cards correctly according to what you needed as the bonuses from the first slotted card has a huge impact on her due to her high number of hits per card.
Cons
Active Skill based on Luck Factor
Even though Scathach’s first skill grants her increase critical damage and star absorption for three turns, it only has a success rate of 80% even at max level. Therefore, it might be risky if you are to bring her to tough battles as even though the failure rate is only 20% there will be one out of five fights where it would fail and screwed you up.
Poor NP Recovery
As Scathach only has one Arts card in her layout it is difficult for her to charge up her NP gauge without criticals or NP support from her party members.
Strategies & Tips
Scathach fits in a party that focused on Quick cards as she is able to buff them with increase Quick card performance. Besides that, she also works as a star generator due to her multiple hits command cards even though she does not have any active skills that generate critical stars directly for the party. She is highly usable against Divine or Undead due to her active skill that boost her damage against them, making her kind of a God or Zombie Slayer.
Starts the battle with 30% NP gauge while increases her Quick cards’ performance and NP damage which coupled with her active skill that also increases Quick performance can generate lots of critical stars a turn.

Upgrade Priority
Scathach’s second skill should be leveled as the top priority as it can increase her NP damage due to it being a Quick NP. After that, we focused on leveling the first skill as it increases her damage output even though by leveling the skill it does not increase the success rate of increasing her critical damage and star absorption, making it somehow unreliable in tough fights except to provide her with one turn evasion. Her third skill is kind of situational as it can increase her damage up to 100% but only against Divine and Undead enemies. Therefore, only level this skill if you have a problem with stages that have those type of enemies.

Scathach’s command cards performance are excellent with Buster card that hits for six times and extra attack that hits for seven times. She does have a bit of problem with her NP gain due to only one Arts card but that can be solved through NP supports.
