Le Chevalier d’Eon is a Servant whose kit is designed to support the team’s survivability, the most notable being their third skill, which applies a 3-turn Taunt. D’Eon’s other skills also complement this role - their Evasion skill comes with a built-in defense buff, and the second skill when maxed allows them to be practically impervious to most debuffs, which is their main edge over similar Servants for endgame content. d’Eon’s NP also goes in line with his overall role, applying attack and defense debuffs to the opponent with a chance to apply Charm (which decreases damage received if it hits).
On the other hand, d’Eon’s biggest weakness lies in their NP. Fleur de Lys’ all three effects possess negligible percentages, though notably, the NP’s effectiveness is considerable at higher NP levels. Additionally, their defense up’s percentage is also incomparable to rivals such as Saint George, meaning that d’Eon would be more vulnerable towards heavy-hitting normal attacks.
Pros
3-turn Taunts are rather rare, with only two other Servants in possession of it
Good Arts synergy
Easy access to a hard defensive skill
Overall kit goes in hand with role
Debuff resistance is highly useful in harder stages
Cons
Weak NP effects
Susceptible to AoEs
Lower defense buff
Strategies & Tips
d’Eon is best used alongside Berserkers, to make the most of their Taunt skill. Strategies revolving around d’Eon generally focuses on keeping their high HP pool healthy, rather than defense buff stacking. As their main defensive ability, Eye of the Mind’s cooldown and timing of usage is also an important factor - for example, it may be beneficial to use it at the start of a fight to benefit from the defense buff, but generally speaking it is advisable to save it to block an NP. d’Eon’s NP should be used as a starter to NP chains or to perform Arts chains, and their Taunt skill should be used such that the opponent’s NP would fall on the Taunt’s third turn, in order to make the most of its cooldown.
Noble Phantasm
Fleur de Lys is an Arts-type AoE debuffing NP, which has a chance to apply Charm on each enemy. It also applies attack and defense buffs on all enemies. While it gains greatly increased effectiveness at higher NP levels, at base it is mostly used to help create Arts chains, or as part of an NP chain to help other NPs gain Overcharge.
As with all Taunt-based Servants, d’Eon is a natural partner for Berserkers - allowing them to survive longer in most stages, and thus letting the team deal more damage in total. Different utilities between Berserkers affect their final compatibility (e.g. Cu CHulainn (Alter)’s critical chance debuff is especially helpful).
Different from other similar Servants, d’Eon’s reliance on healing and Evasion’s cooldown means that Tamamo no Mae is one of the best fit available. With their combined decks, the team can also maintain a decent NP gain rate even when the third member is a QABBB deck Berserker. Notably, however, the team lacks any sort of defense against AoE NPs, though highly specific compositions may be able to cover this somewhat.
While a Tamamo pairing means that the team would have to focus on gaining NP, Medea Lily’s benefit lies in the fact that her NP charge skill allows her to perform NP with minimal effort, thus allowing the team to focus more on dealing damage.
Enhanced healing means that d’Eon can last more reliably in most situations, especially if there is additional healing support. This also allows them to last longer in prolonged fights. However, due note that d’Eon would still be somewhat vulnerable to hard hitting criticals.
Decreases damage taken. While it would still be hard to achieve a 100% defense buff stack, this type of CE may be more beneficial than healing up CEs on extremely hard-hitting bosses.
As d’Eon’s role mostly depends on their first and third skills, they don’t necessarily need specific CEs in order to function well - except in harder stages. As such, d’Eon can often be equipped with bonus CEs without compromising their performance.

Eye of the Mind (True) C
d’Eon’s primary damage mitigation skill, Eye of the Mind applies an Evasion on them as well as a defense buff. While the defense buff percentage is rather low, it does increase with additional levels, and its cooldown is highly important for prolonged fights.
Self-Suggestion A
Removes d’Eon’s debuffs, and increases their debuff resistance for 3 turns. Due to this skill’s high percentage, at maxed level it renders d’Eon practically immune to most debuffs, save for a couple of exceptions (e.g. Scathach’s Stun). Still, the situational nature of this skill means that it’s not a priority for leveling.
Looks of Loveliness C
Heals d’Eon, and applies a 3-turn Taunt. This skill holds a high leveling priority among d’Eon’s skills, since the cooldown reduction may mean life or death for the protected Servant. Additionally, the amount healed also increases with additional levels, which works well with d’Eon’s overall kit.

d’Eon’s QAABB allows them to have a decent NP gain, while still being able to contribute to the team’s damage in the form of Buster first cards. With their NP also being Arts, it gives d’Eon access to an Arts Brave chain, which may be useful at higher NP levels.
