[JP] Hector is a support to boost his allies’ NP damage, while being able to provide some utility on the side. Sadly, his deck, skills, and utility skills aren’t enough to improve his overall worth, although he does have decent NP5 damage.

Strategies & Tips
Hector gives decent damage, NP damage boosting, and utility in one kit. However, due to his skills being rather limited, he would do little outside of his long downtime and his NP damage doesn’t go very far. Combining his plain skillset and deck, Hector becomes rather limited to fighting Archers and supporting other Lancers only. Thankfully, he does this rather well, giving him some worth.
Noble Phantasm
Hector’s NP does decent NP damage at 20k with his interlude and buff, and debuffs the enemy party’s defense by 20-40%. However, because his damage doesn’t particularly go far, one would usually instead use his NP for the def debuff, and boost his allies’ NP damage with the combined multiplier of his NP’s def debuff and his 1st skill.
Merlin is able to heal, provide stars, increase crit damage, and provide a Buster up for Hector. He would be able to boost Hector’s NP damage significantly, and make up for his lack of NP gain through his NP’s passive NP charge.
As he already owns an NP damage up, a Buster up would multiply Hector’s NP damage to a reasonable amount. His NP Buster braves would also deal quite some damage, as the Buster up would also multiply with his def debuff.
A good bond CE for Hector that can give noteworthy effects. It gives allies a boost in NP damage by 20% while he’s in the field, scaling up to 37% when added with his Tactics skill, and going up to 60% increase in NP damage when multiplied with his NP’s def debuff.

Proof of Friendship C
A very good utility skill. It maxes at 80% chance, which makes it particularly useful against enemies about to use their NPs. For example, if the stun fails, an enemy’s NP gauge might still be drained, or vice versa. This makes it a very good utility skill to delay enemies, especially against Archer enemies, who have 3-bar NP charges.
Disengage B
While a decent survival skill for Hector, it’s not that useful overall. It doesn’t increase Hector’s overall worth in supporting his team, and doesn’t increase his utility as well.
