Hijikata is a crit-buster berzerker, an absolute damage powerhouse that can push out crushing numbers against any enemy in his path. Hijikata’s skillset ensures he hits skyhigh numbers while critting hard so as to keep his damage numbers high. His skills also make sure debuffs don’t get in the way of his damage while also topping up his health. Lastly he increases his low base star weight, making sure that his cards will crit and crit hard with the crit damage buffs at the price of some health.

His base stats aren’t that amazing, rating at a below average health among berzerkers while having a very solid attack stat. His NP generation is above average among berzerkers, ending around 30% of his gauge at the end of an Arts started brave chain. His stargen is pretty average, not even hitting 20 stars on a BQQ chain.

His NP is very simple, providing nuke damage to a s ingle enemy of his. His set centers around an aggressive playstyle that requires heavy support to help him really shine in his team.

• Skillset is surprisingly simple to use and synergize well.

• Stargen is too low to provide any crit stars to be of any use to himself.
• No strong heals or defensive moves to keep him alive.
• Low base stats and gen stats don’t help him that much.

Hijikata would like to be paired with servants who have a high stargen or able to provide heals and attack buffs for him. His first skill should be used before a buster chain or his NP to fire. HIs second skill should only be used when he needs to remove debuffs which prevent him from dealing proper numbers. His last skill should be used before a brave chain with high crit star amounts.

Shinsengumi is a single target Buster NP which deals massive damage to any enemy in Hijikata’s path. This NP boosted by his skills provides serious damage to the target of his attack. It’s damage increases as his HP lowers which is perfect on a servant of the berserker class.

• Demon of the battlefield B

  This skill is Hijikata’s main source of damage, allowing him to up his buster or NP damage chains, allowing him to deal great damage to enemies. This skill should be leveled first.

• Law of the Shinsengumi EX

  This skill ups HIjikata’s crit damage while also increasing his star weight. This helps him crit more consistently and harder. As such, This skill should be leveled second.

• Stance renewal C

  This skill heals Hijikata for a small amount while cleaning him of any pesky debuffs. This allows him to stay alive and push out good numbers. This skill should be leveled last.

Hjikata is able to Buster chain with his NP, while his other cards have low hitcounts, not allowing good gen on NP or Stars. This makes him a lot worse in terms of gen stats.
