Angra Mainyu is the elusive Avenger, avoiding all attempts at summoning him in the Friend Point gatcha. Being the only 0 star in the game as well as being the only Avenger that is less than 4*, is he worth the friend points? Angra Mainyu has a questionable set that doesn’t really have much to brag about, but is still usable in certain scenarios. His active skills revolve around debuffing enemies, which is weird for a servant that has one of the more aggressive classes in the game. His first skill drops the enemy’s critical chance, making sure that his teammates aren’t killed by an unlucky crit. His other skill drops the enemy’s attack on top of reducing their NP gauge by one. As you can see, most of these skills have to do with survival, which is ironic, considering Angra Mainyu’s final skill. Angra Mainyu’s skill gives him a Quick buff which increases in potency based on how long it has been activated. On the 5th turn of activation however, he dies. While the Quick buff can reach a ridiculous multiplier of 160%, it’s mostly wasted on Angra, considering that he only has 2 Quick cards with a rather bad hit count.
Moving on to his base stats, he stands around the same tier as 2 star servants, boasting middle of the road stats among his peers. His generation stats are rather average, not calling for much attention. His NP is subpar at best, with a very weird damage multiplier, he barely manages to push out average numbers, even when buffed by the best servants in the game. Angra Mainyu maintains his lore role as “The weakest servant” while still being extremely rare.

Strategies & Tips
Seeing as Angra Mainyu’s NP damage is based on his previous health minus his current health, a good combo would be using a taunt to make sure Angra Mainyu takes as much damage as possible and a guts to revive him at low hp. Any Craft Essence or skill that raises his max hp would also be useful.
Noble Phantasm
Angra Mainyu’s Noble Phantasm, Verg Avesta, has several effects and uses a peculiar damage multiplier. His NP grants himself a 1k heal at 100% charge and scales upward with 500% overcharge giving him 5k healing. NP damage is found by subtracting his previous health from his current health and multiplying it by 2 or 3 based on overcharge level.
Irisviel’s NP, Song of Grail, grants guts to all allies as well as heals to ensure that Angra Mainyu can have the greatest possible previous health and the lowest current health.
Along with a 1hp revive 2 Gods 3 Legs comes along with a 15% NP damage buff to help Angra push out those numbers.

3 > 2 > 1 Another way of using Angra maxes his third skill first so as to use his insane quick buff and then let him die for a controlled death to switch out units.
