Martha is a damage dealer, boasting a high ATK stat as well as a 3 Buster card deck. She is highly effective against enemies Demon, Divine and Undead enemies, and is also extremely tanky due to her Ruler class and her healing skill. Despite the deck, her NP gain is actually decent, both due to her base stats as well as her first skill.
Unfortunately, she possesses limited buffs outside of her supereffective skill, though she is somewhat helped with the ease at which she performs Buster chains. One of her buffs depends on the existence of water/beach for it to activate, and her NP’s defense down, though activates before the damage, is rather minor in percentage.
Pros
Being a Ruler, she is very tanky against most opponents
Good damage due to 3 Buster deck
High supereffective modifier skill
Cons
Limited offensive buffs outside of supereffective
No team support function
Lacks a hard defensive skill, though her class makes up for this
Strategies & Tips
Martha should be used as a damage dealer due to her Buster orientation. Due to her class, she a good choice for quests featuring multiple enemy classes, especially those requiring her tankiness. Her Noble Phantasm should be used as a prelude to her Brave chains, accompanied by her third skill when fighting the appropriate enemies. Her 1st and 2nd skill should generally be used as early possible; except for special cases where her first skill’s buff is applied.
Noble Phantasm
Tarasque is a single-target Noble Phantasm, with a built-in defense down that activates before it deals damage. This means that the NP itself benefits from it, although the modifier is rather low. Aside of these, it has no other properties, being as straightforward as its owner.
Merlin’s buffs a natural fit for Saint Martha, especially so due to Rulers’ decent critical star weight. His heals are also more effective on Martha due to her receiving lower damage, and the party-wide Invulnerability allows them to survive more hard-hitting NPs.
Nightingale, possessing a Buster buff, is a highly recommended partner for Martha. This is also partially due to her Berserker class, which means that the two of them can work against practically any class. Additionally, it would be easier to focus on Nightingale’s own survival due to Martha’s tankiness.
While Martha’s NP gain is overall decent, Zhuge Liang still enables her to have a much faster burst damage cycle, and increases her overall effectiveness. His NP helps to stall opponents’ NPs, and additionally, his critical buff is also appreciated in teams with access to critical star generation.
By far Martha’s preferred Craft Essence type due to her deck. These CEs allow her to make up for her lack of buffing skills, granting her highly increased damage even on her non-burst turns.
In teams utilizing external Buster buffs, attack up buffs become preferable due to how buffs interact with each other. Attack buffs also affect Extra cards, meaning that it is normally more effective compared to attack buffs, damage-wise. However, this type of Craft Essence tend to have a smaller buff percentage.
Bringing Tristan’s NP damage up, this type of CE is best used when Tristan’s damage output is needed - either as a primary damage dealer, or in multiple-boss stages containing a Saber-class boss.

Waterfront Saintess B+ Fills Martha’s NP gauge, and increases her attack if the stage contains water/beach. While the attack up is highly situational at best, the NP gauge increase is especially important due to Martha’s 3 Buster card deck.
Natural Body (Ocean) A Prevents Martha from getting debuffed for one time, and heals her for a standard amount. This skill is most useful in harder quests with annoying debuffs, though the heal itself is more significant than it seems due to the Ruler class’ 0.5x received damage.
Jacob’s Limbs B Increases Martha’s damage against Demon, Divine, and Undead opponents. This skill allows her to deal high amounts of damage against the right targets, as its percentage is much higher compared to other buffs. However, due to its nature, this skill is rather situational, meaning that it will only be used in certain situations.

Martha’s QABBB deck allows her to deal a higher amount of damage compared to other decks, not only due to Buster cards’ superior damage, but also since it would be easier for her to create Buster chains - and access to the powerful Extra cards that come with them.
