Meltlilith is the first 5 star alter ego to be released, bringing with her an interesting set of gameplay rules. The Alter Ego class behaves similarly to the beast class, just the other way around. Dealing effective damage to the 4 horseman classes while dealing weak damage to the 3 knight classes. Being strong to 4 classes at once of course is a great benefit to have, but having no defensive strengths leads to a more vulnerable servant.
Melt’s generation stats are pretty strong, an AQQ chain allowing her to fill more than half her NP gauge. In addition, her star gen is excellent, usually netting at least 20 stars in a brave chain. This once again helps her gain more NP gauge. Supported by an excellent set of passive skills, Melt is nothing to sniff at.
Meltlilith focuses on disrupting enemy while dishing out damage to those she chooses, very much like her role in CCC. Her skills mainly lean towards the offensive side of her kit, allowing her to deal consistent damage. Her first skill allows her some survivability in a dodge while also giving crit stars to help her fill up her NP gauge easily. Her second gives her some attack in exchange for a defense drop which is situationally helpful and her last skill debuffs all units on field, making their NP damage drop off. One turn later she gains a NP damage buff. Meltlilith takes a great strategy to really work. She abuses her NP to allow her to gain a large flux of crit stars on top of a 3 turn quick buff on overcharge. This in turn makes her brave chains lead into a critfest meaning Melt’s NP gauge stays topped and her crit stars stay dropped. Did I mention her collar stays poppin?
Pros
Nice gen stats help her to NP consistently while critting
Good array of passives support Melt’s kit well.
Interesting class advantages
NP power down debuff can be helpful situationally
Cons
Not much in terms of defence besides her dodge skill
Needs a team that can help her achieve her goal of NP spamming
Her third skill is a bit of a catch 22, forcing masters to decide when is the best time to use it.
Strategies & Tips
Melt wants to crit often, and NP even more often. Her AQQ chains fill up her NP gauge while dropping crit stars which will help her keep the flow going. This leads to consistent NP damage to bosses. You want to use her 2nd skill before a nice crit chain or before she uses her NP. To overcome the defense drop, you might want to use her evasion skill. It can also be used to top up her star count for more crit assurance. Her last skill should only be used when a large NP is about to hit your team, or when you are sure you are going to NP the next turn. Card counting is an advised strategy to be carried out while using Meltlilith.
Noble Phantasm
Sarasvati Meltout is a single target quick NP which erases the enemies buffs while also gaining a 3 turn quick buff when overcharged. This a great NP which assists Meltlilith really keep a steady stream of damage going. The aim is not to have huge bursts of damage, it is to keep a consistent amount going. A NPQQ chain will almost bring Melt back on standby for her NP while gifting us around 45 stars to crit with. Rinse, repeat, cycle. Kinda like a washing machine.
Waver is a great support for Melt, covering all her bases. He gives her flat damage along with some NP gauge which is always appreciated. On top of that, his defensive skills cover her weak points making sure she stays on the field longer. Lastly his crit buff is great on Meltlilith, allowing her to hit higher numbers while also charging her gauge by a whopping 30%.
Nero bride is a great servant to pair with Melt, being able to heal her and provide defence, increase her NP generation while also boosting her attack and star gen. Almost all of Melt’s strengths get even better while Nero is on the field.
Saber alter is a fun servant to pair with Meltlilith, offering quick buffs, cooldown reduction and crit star generation. That on top of a deck filled with quick cards, you’ll have trouble trying not to crit.
Dumplings over flowers gives Meltliith everything she needs, quick and NP damage up which are her main sources of damage. She makes excellent use of this CE.
This is a great CE to put on Meltlilith, especially since it is easily LBed. Giving Melt a quick damage up while also topping up her NP damage. She also gets a beginning charge of 50%, making sure she can NP early on.
This CE helps Meltlilith situationally, giving her a starting charge for her NP gauge while also giving her 200% overcharge once per quest. This ensures she gets her overcharge off easily so as to get the quick up buff on her NP.
When Equipped to Meltlilith, Increases Self Quick Card Performance by 20%, Critical Damage by 30%, and lowers the parties (except self) Critical Damage by 10% [Demerit], as long as she is on the field.

Skills Upgrade Priority
Crime ballet A
Crime ballet gives Melt a dodge on top of some bonus crit stars. While the crit stars can be useful at the higher levels, the main attraction is her two hit dodge. As this is available already at all levels, This skill should be leveled last.
Melt virus EX
Melt virus EX is Melt’s signature skill, which gives her more damage while also debuffing the rest of her team mates and enemies NP damage. This can be used both offensively and defensively, allowing versatility in many situations. The user should beware however of the timing of using this skill. This skill should be leveled first.
Sadistic constitution A
This is Melt’s main source of damage, giving her a nice boost in flat damage for the cost of some defense. With a short cooldown, this can be spammed during Melt’s brave chains without too much concern. This skill should be leveled second.
Crime Ballet A
Available from the start Grants evasion on self for 2 attacks (3 turns). Generate critical stars.

Melt’s QQABB deck is well suited to her role as a crit and NP spammer, though an extra Arts card would be nice. Her AQQ is excellent at genning both crit stars and NP gauge and should be used often to keep her damage output high. With nice hitcounts on her extra attack, brave chains should have no problem serving their purpose.
